Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Haniel Zaiine Cortes (“we”, “us”), who operates MoneTell. By sending a message to our WhatsApp number you accept them.

What MoneTell does

You send a WhatsApp message describing something you spent. We read it, extract the amount, currency and category, store it, and reply with your running total for the month. You can ask for a link to a web dashboard that shows the month in full.

That is the entire service. We do not connect to your bank, hold your money, move money, or have any access to your accounts.

MoneTell is not financial advice

MoneTell is a record-keeping tool. Nothing it sends you is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and it is not a regulated financial service. Figures shown are only summaries of what you told us — they are not a statement of account, and you should not rely on them for tax, credit or legal purposes.

Accuracy

We use an automated language model to interpret your messages. It will sometimes get an amount, currency or category wrong. You are responsible for checking your own records. We do not warrant that any figure is correct.

Free entries and subscription

• Free tier. Your first 10 expense entries are free. No card is required.
• Subscription. After that, continuing requires a paid subscription, monthly or yearly. Prices are shown at checkout in your local currency and include any applicable tax.
• Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
• Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not require you to email anyone to cancel.

Who takes your payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns. Your payment details are given to Paddle, not to us — we never see or store your card number.

Refunds are covered in our refund policy.

Acceptable use

• Do not use MoneTell for anything unlawful.
• Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
• Do not use it to store other people’s personal data without their knowledge.
• One account per WhatsApp number. Do not resell access.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

Availability

MoneTell runs on top of WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta and is outside our control. If WhatsApp is unavailable, or changes in a way that breaks the service, we may be unable to deliver it. We provide the service on an “as is” basis and do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim connected to MoneTell is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for financial decisions you make based on figures in the service.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Your data

How we handle your messages and personal data is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time by cancelling your subscription and asking us to delete your data. We may end the agreement with 30 days’ notice, or immediately if you break these terms, and will refund any period you have paid for but not used.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you over WhatsApp before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, where we are established. This does not remove any mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of the country where you live — if you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you keep those rights and may bring proceedings in your local courts.
